That time of year again

Its official, its summer time and the festivals are in full sing! Coachella kicked off on friday and I have my heart set on Benicassim this year along with my traditional festival, V-Fest. This year will be my 5th now and I get just as excited at the 1st time. I've told everyone that I am going to keep going until the sun shines like my very first year, althought I'm not sure it would be quite the same without being filthy, wet and drowning in mud for a few days. But who would care if you had a pair of these...

Thank- you Edith

On my way home on Friday I was listening to Edith Bowmen on Radio One and she played this little gem, Bat For Lashes - 'Daniel'. I have their first album 'Fur and Gold', but must admit, I seem to have misplaced my excitement for new music at the moment; with the end of university nearing and the work load piling in. Quite sad really, as I used to love listening to new music while doing my work, it being the only thing making work tolerable in the early hours of the morning. Anyway, Thanks to Edith i've been inspired to rekindle my love for music and cannot turn 'Daniel' off my itunes, its such a beautiful song and Natasha Khan is amazing, her self expression through styling is something which I find an inspiration! I've also found a few other great artists including La Roux and Metronomy (or metromony as I like to call them).

One year on...

It is nearly one year ago now that I received Gold at the National London Photographic Association . After completing my first photography assignment at University (year one), my tutors chose to enter my work into the competition and to my complete suprise, I won! Me! a total amateur in the field of photography and one who is possibly condemned with the life long sentence of misfortune.

I received many e-mails from the director asking me if I wanted to take part in 'this' competition or 'that' competition and, as I never dreamed of winning, I kept forwarding the e-mails to my junk-mail. It was only when I received post and I realised one of the e-mails had explained of my award...and here (hopefully for your enjoyment) is the winning piece!
